edverify - Verify Configuration for EnduraData EDpCloud File Replication and Transfer.

SYNOPSIS

edverify [ config_file_name]

DESCRIPTION

edverify is the command line interface for verifying the validity of an edpcloud file replication and transfer configuration.

RETURN VALUES

0 on success

EXAMPLES

edverify newconfig.cfg

This will verify that the content of newconfig.cfg is a valid configuration.

edverify

This will verify that the content of the configuration in $ED_BASE_DIR/etc/eddist.cfg is valid.

RETURN VALUE

The status is 0 on success.

ENVIRONMENT

ED_BASE_DIR: This is the name of the top directory where the file replication, file transfer and content distribution software is installed. This directory will also contain various configuration, journals and log files.

ED_COLLECTOR_PORT: This environment variable is set to the port on which EnduraData eddist server listens to management commands. Set this environment variable to the port on which to listen for commands.

ED_REALTIME_PORT: This environment variable is set to the port on which EnduraData real time monitor listens to file changes.

ED_DISTRIBUTION_PORT: This environment variable is set to the port on which EnduraData eddist server listens to data distribution services. Set this environment variable to the port on which to listen for data distribution connections.
