eddist - EnduraData's File Synchronzation, Replication and File Transfer Node Management Server

SYNOPSIS

EnduraData's File sync replication and content distribution node server.

SECURITY ISSUES

The server requires eddist.cfg xml synchronization configuration. Please read the documentation for eddist.cfg and see the sample configurations provided in the $ED_BASE_DIR/etc

$ED_BASE_DIR/etc/dbdirective When present this file contains sql that eddist will execute. Remove the file after it is executed.

ENVIRONMENT

ED_BASE_DIR: This is the name of the top directory where the software is installed. This directory will also contain various configurations, journals and log files.

ED_COLLECTOR_PORT: This environment variable is set to the port on which EnduraData eddist server listens to management commands. Set this environment variable to the port on which to listen for commands.

ED_DISTRIBUTION_PORT: This environment variable is set to the port on which EnduraData eddist server listens to data distribution services. Set this environment variable to the port on which to listen for data distribution connections.

All commands and services require the environment variables to be setup by the start scripts: edpcloud.sh (UNIX) or edstartall.bat (Windows).
