Key Features and Updates in EDpCloud 6.2.0

Improved Documentation

  • Expanded documentation for the minfileage keyword to clarify its usage.

Advanced Conflict Resolution

  • Introduced keepnewest option with values:
    • 0: Sync file even if the remote is newest (default).
    • 1: Keep remote file if newer than the source.
    • 2: Fail the operation.

Real-Time Processing Enhancements

  • Added the ED_EXCLUDE_PROC environment variable to enable real-time exclusion of files modified by specific applications listed in ED_EXCLUDE_PROC.

Security and Library Updates

  • Upgraded OpenSSL.
  • Updated SQLite3.
  • Refreshed the Bill of Materials.

Localization Improvements

  • Set the default locale and added LC_ALL=en_US.UTF-8 to enduradata_env.

User Environment Enhancements

  • Updated enduradata_env to include aliases: edpcloudbin and edpcloudcert.

Enhanced Logging and Reporting

  • Improved labeling for edjob messages, including better categorization for job cancellation messages.
  • Adjusted edjob output to order by jobid, link, and receiver.
  • Enhanced reports with navigation options: “Next,” “Previous,” “Last,” and “First.”

Filesystem and Browser GUI Enhancements

  • Migrated to FUSE3 for builds.
  • Updated WAFS utimens operation to use ed_wfs_utime.
  • Refined SRVROOT browser GUI to replace deprecated functions: trim(), stristr(), and each().

Bug Fixes

  • Resolved an issue in the GUI where canceling job n-1 would inadvertently cancel job n.
  • Fixed password editing in the GUI to support multiple hosts and their passwords.

Security Enhancements

  • Added warnings if the etc directory does not have mode 0700 or if edpasswd does not have mode 0700.
  • Introduced a script to clean temporary files in the GUI. The frequency is controlled by the ED_TMP_TTL variable (default: 30 minutes).

Web and Application Updates

  • Fixed the location of SSL certificates for Nginx.
  • Increased FastCGI buffers and buffer sizes.
  • Upgraded PCRE to version 2-1.44.
  • Upgraded Nginx to version 1.27.1.
  • Updated PHP to version 8.3.12, with dynamic library usage for PHP.
  • Enhanced support for browser-based GUIs by using edwsuperd for php-cgi until client PHP updates are implemented.

Availability

Linux Version: EDpCloud 6.2.0 for Linux is available immediately.

Windows Version: EDpCloud 6.2.0 for Windows will be available by January 10, 2025, or earlier.
